沃尔沃 mulls crossover styling for V40 successor

LONDON -- 沃尔沃 will exit the conventional compact hatchback segment when it ends production of the V40 in the summer.

V40’s replacement will be higher-riding because increasing numbers of buyers are switching to 越野车 -styled cars, said 沃尔沃’的欧洲负责人Lex Kerssemakers。

The replacement will be built on the CMA platform 沃尔沃 co-developed with Geely that underpins the new XC40 compact 越野车 as well as Geely’s 林克& CO cars.

No ‘trial and error’
